It was time spent working closely with designers, installers, and end-users that inspired Alex Nicolaides to found Scout Lighting. O’Blaney Rinker is proud to expand those relationships by representing Scout linear lighting in the New York Metro area.
The Scout LED engine is a field-cuttable, rigid tape light that corners like a champ. Ten different extruded optics throw light just how you need it. They like to say, “Custom is our standard,” so bring us your high-design ceiling materials, backlighting and vault challenges, and custom pendant ideas. As a bonus, Scout’s proprietary housings are made from 50% recycled material, and any un-used aluminum scraps are recycled for reuse.
O’Blaney Rinker Associates is excited to announce representation for CAST Lighting LLC, a dynamic manufacturer and supplier that has been an industry leader in landscape lighting for over 20 years. ORA will represent CAST’s premium, low-voltage outdoor lighting products in CAST’s home territory of North Jersey and the New York City metro area.
Rooted in a passion for beautiful landscape lighting, CAST Landscape® uses a solid-bronze, sand-casting approach that will exceed customer expectations. These products are considered best-in-class solutions for their beauty, durability, and the ability to dial-in brightness and beam spread. Despite years of being inground or out in the elements, CAST fixtures maintain their quality and are still going strong. All are engineered for easy installation and maintenance.
CAST has broadened its offering to include Source Lighting® by CAST. Source Lighting® fixtures are all brass, backed by CAST’s limited lifetime warranty. It is a complete landscape lighting line offering great quality for more budget-conscious clients. CAST Perimeter® LED Security Lighting Solutions are low-voltage, fence-mounted fixtures that integrate seamlessly with third-party security systems, at an installed cost far less than high-voltage pole lighting.
David Beausoleil, President and Founder of CAST Lighting, works closely with landscape lighting professionals and knows the many problems that plague both specifiers and installers. He has provided training for years, and we look forward to sharing his expertise and instruction with our clientele.
O’Blaney Rinker is pleased to represent EOS Lightmedia — an award-winning lighting and audiovisual design firm with international experience in architecture, public spaces, building facades, themed attractions, museums, presentation centers, and public art installations. Their services include design, supply, install, and programming services of lighting and media systems, including control technology.
Eos Lightmedia was contracted to supply, install and focus the majority of lighting for the museum. What would normally be a relatively straightforward task—lighting a museum—was instead a highly sensitive one: Eos needed to realize the carefully constructed vision of the design team from Fisher Marantz Stone, within the constraints of site conditions, local contractors and New York labor unions. Eos Lightmedia provided a lighting control and programming system to realize the full potential of the venue’s new solid-state, high-output LED lighting technology while respecting residential neighbors. Under the lighting designer’s direction, Eos programmed light shows including signature looks for the building and shows for both the Lions and Whitecaps. To this day, Eos continues to program lighting for the facility and create unique shows for special events and celebrations. More »
Eos Lightmedia worked with Maltbie for Rockwell Group’s Luminaries public lighting program at Brookfield Place in Lower Manhattan. The installation consists of 650 translucent lanterns embedded with RGB LEDs that hang in a dynamic canopy of light up to 45 feet off the ground. Eos selected the fixtures, created the electrical data layouts, created the interactive kiosk software and hardware designs and assisted Rockwell’s programmers and Brookfield’s on site tech team with the installation. Radiant’s products are designed to be flexible, versatile, discreet and are frequently concealed, creating lit effects that enhance beautiful architectural features and eye-catching sculptures while embracing the latest lighting technologies and processes to guarantee longer lasting and efficient lighting systems for any architectural application.
Radiant’s 3D LED Flex 40 IP66 RGBW system with double-spaced modules was used to provide a light graze effect up the facade of the Hi Tech & Digital Centre of South Devon College. A single run of this system is installed along the curved profile of the base of the facade. Each module is being run at up to 5 Watts and elliptical beam Gaggione color-blending lenses distribute the light up the entire height of the facade. Each module is addressable via DMX.
The Radiant 3D LED FLEX 100 system was developed in collaboration with Maurice Brill Lighting Design specifically for the Heydar Aliyev Centre in Baku. The system is high-power and flexible in 3-dimensions and can be adjusted on-site to follow complex cove profiles. The luminaires are recessed within the flowing coves of the auditorium. The light produced is completely indirect and is reflected off the wooden surfaces. Over 820ft of the 3D LED Flex 100 system was used to provide all the ambient lighting in the auditorium.
The Radiant 3D LED Flex 100 system has been developed for use in a wide variety of architectural lighting projects requiring cove lighting and wall wash lighting where the building surfaces are non-linear with curved profiles and facades.
Radiant’s Euclid 20 Balljoint IP20 System is installed around the edges of the curved ceiling features of Haz Restaurant in London, providing a wash of light onto the decorative plasterwork. This system features on board linear drivers and LEDs in a wide variety of color temperatures with CRI up to 95. Up to 1,000 lumens per ft for the high-output version. Opal, dot free opal, clear window and linear lens versions are available.
