James O’Blaney started in the industry in Southern California in 1987 after 4.5 years of active duty in the US Coast Guard. During his time in CA, he worked as a lighting distributor, Lightolier contractor sales consultant, Cooper lighting agent and finally National account sales consultant before returning to New York city where he grew up. He then worked in specification sales at Stan Deutsch Associates for 10 years before forming O’Blaney Rinker Associates with Caroline. James is very dedicated to his clients and works very hard to avoid and solve issues. In his leisure time, James enjoys his family, trains and competes in triathlons and loves to travel and cook. He also makes a mean pulled pork!

Diana earned a BS in Accounting from VA Commonwealth University in Richmond VA in 1994 and got CPA certification in both VA and NY. She spent sixteen years counting beans before taking time off to count piggies (20, repeatedly). With her children now able to account for themselves, Diana triumphantly returns to the professional world, where she will draw on her prior experience as controller of a lighting distributor as well as her six years spent as Audit Manager for Berard & Donahue, CPA’s in Suffern NY, to make sure our books are as clean as her kid's toes (well, ok, maybe cleaner).
David started his career in the lighting industry as a Lighting Technician at Relle Electric. He is handy with a tool belt and supervised the install and maintenance on various commercial projects throughout New York. He then moved on to Flextronics providing technical support and maintenance on wireless devices. He comes to O'Blaney Rinker Associates from USAI, where he held the position of inside sales/quotations for the Western US Sales Market. He enjoys baseball and fishing.
Olivia began her career in lighting at FontanaArte, when she moved to New York in 2012. Olivia has found her true niche as a manufacturers representative. Prior to working in lighting, Olivia worked as a personal shopper at Neiman Marcus, and also worked for an Image Consultant. She has a BA in Psychology from the College of Wooster (Wooster, Ohio), and has a certificate in Image Consulting from The Fashion Institute of Technology. In her spare time, Olivia peruses for treasures in vintage and antique shops, sees as much live music as she can, and is on an endless search to find the best tacos in New York City
Shawn jumped into the world of lighting head first in 2010 while working for LED Waves, a New York City based LED Lamp and Fixture manufacturer as both a purchasing manager and e-commerce developer. While there, he rolled up his sleeves and got his hands dirty helping to develop their "Made in the USA" brand of products. Since then, he has been a partner at ESCO start up Smart Lighting and most recently, worked on product management with FLOS Architectural. With a great mix of entrepreneurial experience, technical know-how, and business development, Shawn is poised to make great strides in the New York City lighting community. When he is not obsessing about lighting technology, he tinkers with electronics, hosts supper parties and organizes mobile movie nights throughout NYC.
